Green tea extract removes the smell of fat
-Boseong Green Tea Pork, with low cholesterol and green tea flavor, is free from toxic substances thanks to the green tea ingredients such as catechins and flavonoids. Fatty substances are excreted from the body while the pigs are being raised, significantly reducing its unique unpleasant smell while its moisture content, quality, and age enhance the tender taste. Even the lean cuts are not dry but soft and tender.

How Boseong Green Tea Pork is raised

  • 65kg pigs (about 100 days old) are raised on special feed mixed with green tea extract for 60 days until they reach 110kg. They are shipped and slaughtered at a HACCP certified livestock slaughterhouse, processed and packaged by part at a HACCP certified livestock-processing plant, then distributed to wholesale and retail merchants through a green pork distribution center.
  • Boseong Green Tea Pork is low in fat and tender thanks to its special feed mixed with green tea and is free from toxic substances due to a clean, natural environment.
  • Boseong Green Tea Pork, a functional, branded pork, has been on display at the Korea Meat Fair every year since 2000, maintaining a high popularity among customers. It is raised with feed mixed with green tea grown in Boseong based on research by the Korea Food Research Institute (as of September, 1997), and boasts of high quality and low cholesterol thanks to the catechins (tannin) in the green tea leaves.
  • Boseong Green Tea Pork is a functional, branded pork, registered with the Patent Office (registration number 0551548) in August, 2003, according to trademark law.
